Concrete Pads, Concrete Runners & Wind-Certified Concrete Anchors

At Pro Metal Buildings, we provide professionally engineered anchoring solutions designed specifically for concrete pads and concrete runner foundations.

Whether your structure is being installed on a full concrete slab or concrete runners, the correct anchor system ensures your investment is secure and code-compliant..

Pro Metal Buildings Single Slope Carport

Concrete Pad Foundations

A concrete pad (full slab foundation) provides maximum stability and long-term durability for  garages, workshops, RV covers, and fully enclosed metal buildings. Installing your steel  structure on a concrete slab offers:

  • Increased structural support
  • Clean, finished interior flooring
  • Moisture barrier benefits
  • Strong wind uplift resistance
  • Long-term durability

For permitted buildings, a properly poured and cured concrete pad is often required to meet local  building code and wind load standards.

Concrete Runners for Carports & Metal Structures

Concrete runners are a cost-effective alternative to a full slab. These are continuous concrete  strips poured where the base rails of the building sit. They provide:

  • Solid anchoring surface
  • Reduced concrete cost
  • Code-compliant installation option
  • Proper weight distribution

Concrete runners are commonly used for carports, garages, and agricultural metal buildings  while still allowing secure wind-rated anchoring.

Concrete Anchors

When installing a metal building or carport on a concrete surface, proper anchoring is critical for structural integrity, wind certification, and permitting approval.

Asphalt & Mobile Home Anchors

At Pro Metal Buildings, our professional design team carefully calculates anchor placement and quantity to ensure your structure meets safety standards and permitting guidelines. We provide nationwide delivery and installation support, making compliance easy and stress-free.

Asphalt Anchors

Our 30-inch asphalt anchors are specifically designed to secure metal buildings and carports installed on asphalt surfaces. These wind-certified anchors are augured through the asphalt and deep into the ground below, providing dependable uplift resistance and structural stability.

The number of anchors required will depend on:

  • The size of the structure
  • Degree of enclosure
  • Local wind exposure requirements

If your building is being installed on asphalt, these anchors are a critical component for long-term security. Asphalt anchors help meet wind-load certification requirements and are often required during the permitting process.

Mobile Home Anchors

Our 30-inch mobile home anchors are engineered to provide superior ground stability for carports, garages, and metal buildings. These wind-certified anchors are augured directly into the soil, creating a secure foundation system that meets building code and permitting requirements in many areas.

The number of anchors required depends on:

  • The size of your metal building or carport
  • The level of enclosure (fully enclosed, partially enclosed, or open)
  • Local wind and code requirements

If you’re installing a permitted metal building, mobile home anchors are a critical part of protecting your investment.

Insulation

Single Bubble Insulation

Single-bubble insulation is an affordable and effective solution for reducing heat transfer and minimizing condensation in your metal building or carport. This reflective insulation consists of a single layer of polyethylene air bubbles sandwiched between radiant barrier foil, helping reflect radiant heat away from your structure.

Single bubble insulation is ideal for:

  • Open or partially enclosed carports
  • Mild climate areas
  • Basic condensation control
  • Budget-conscious installations

It helps reduce metal building sweating by creating a thermal break between the steel panels and interior air. While it does not provide the high R-value of fiberglass systems, it significantly improves comfort and moisture control compared to no insulation.

Double Bubble Insulation

Double-bubble insulation provides enhanced thermal protection and superior condensation control compared to single-bubble systems. With two layers of polyethylene air bubbles between reflective foil barriers, this insulation creates a thicker thermal barrier, improving interior comfort and energy efficiency.

Double bubble insulation is recommended for:

  • Fully enclosed metal garages
  • Workshops and storage buildings
  • RV covers and equipment protection
  • Areas with greater temperature swings

This option helps prevent condensation buildup, reduce interior heat gain, and minimize heat transfer during the winter months. If you’re looking for stronger insulation performance in your metal building, double bubble is a cost-effective upgrade that delivers noticeable improvements.

Prodex Insulation

Prodex insulation is a high-performance reflective insulation system designed specifically for metal buildings, steel garages, and commercial structures. Unlike traditional fiberglass, Prodex combines closed-cell polyethylene foam with reinforced reflective foil, creating a powerful vapor barrier and radiant heat shield in one product.

Benefits of Prodex insulation include:

  • Excellent condensation prevention
  • Higher thermal efficiency
  • Mold and mildew resistance
  • Clean interior appearance
  • Long-lasting durability

Prodex insulation is one of the best solutions for fully enclosed, climate-sensitive metal buildings. It dramatically reduces sweating, controls moisture buildup, and improves year-round interior comfort.

Condensation Control & Ventilation

Drip Stop Condensation Control for Roofs

Drip Stop is a factory-applied condensation-control membrane installed directly on the underside of metal roof panels. It is specifically designed to prevent “metal building sweating,” which occurs when warm, moist air contacts cooler steel roofing.

Instead of allowing condensation to form and drip onto vehicles, equipment, or stored items, Drip Stop traps moisture within its membrane pockets and releases it back into the air as temperatures normalize.

Drip Stop is ideal for:

  • Carports
  • Agricultural buildings
  • RV covers
  • Open or partially enclosed structures
  • Budget-friendly condensation control

This system provides an affordable solution to prevent dripping without requiring full insulation. It is especially effective in humid climates, with temperature fluctuations, or with heavy morning dew.

Vents

Pro Metal Buildings offers high-quality metal building vents in select states, providing superior air circulation and ventilation solutions that help regulate temperature, reduce moisture buildup, and extend the lifespan of your steel structure.

Available in a variety of sizes tailored to meet state-specific requirements, our metal building ventilation options ensure optimal airflow for agricultural buildings, commercial warehouses, garages, and industrial steel structures throughout the region.

Braces

Leg Brace

Pro Metal Buildings’ heavy-duty galvanized steel leg braces provide essential structural support by securely connecting the building’s legs to the trusses at each corner, ensuring maximum stability, wind resistance, and long-term durability for your metal building investment.

Engineered for strength and precision, our corner leg braces are a critical component of every steel building kit, reinforcing the frame against lateral forces, heavy snow loads, and high winds to keep your agricultural, commercial, or residential metal structure safe and code-compliant for decades to come.

Colored Screws

Our self-tapping screws typically have a galvanized steel appearance.

If you would like your building screws to match your sheet metal color, be sure to click the button under “options” on the 3D builder, find the colored screws, and click the box. There is a small charge for the upgrade. This will give your building a finished look.
